<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that assures more satisfactory image formation by further improving the stability of alignment and power supply in a developer image formation area, and to provide a process cartridge and a developing cartridge. <P>SOLUTION: A pressed area 141e mounted on a developing cartridge case 141 is pressed towards a developing cartridge pressing direction X at a pressing position PP. A developing roller 144 and the photosensitive drum 152 come into contact with each other at a contact position CP. Power is supplied to the developing cartridge 140 when the power supply protrusion 147b connected electrically to the developing roller rotation drive axis 144a and the power supply member 118 mounted on the outside of the developing cartridge 140 are pushed together in the power supply pressing direction S. Here, the power supply pressing direction S is almost orthogonal to the pressing action line Y that connects the pressing position PP and the contact position CP.
