METHOD FOR PRODUCING CYCLOALKANOL AND CYCLOALKANONE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an industrially suitable method for producing a cycloalkanol and a cycloalkanone by which a high degradation activity and a high selectivity for the objective substances are exhibited.

SOLUTION: The method for producing the cycloalkanol and cycloalkanone is carried out as follows. A cycloalkyl hydroperoxide is subjected to a degradation reaction in the presence of a ruthenium catalyst such as dichlorotris(triphenylphenylphosphine)ruthenium(II) fixed on a tris(hydroxymethyl)phosphine-modified silica gel.
