<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position detection system having high detection accuracy at low cost. <P>SOLUTION: A reference station 101, a wireless node 102, and detection stations 103a and b are located in an xy plane, and each station; except the wireless node 102, is provided at a fixed location. The reference station 101 is located at the origin, and the detection stations 103a and b are each located on an x-axis and a y-axis. An interference pattern of interference waves W13 changes, according to the location of the wireless node 102. The interference pattern changes, when the wireless node 102 is, for example, at coordinates (x1, y1) and at coordinates (x2, y2). An interference pattern, detected by the detection station 103, such as intervals PP of condensation and rarefaction changes according to the location of the wireless node 102.
