<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable blood sugar level measuring instrument, an invasive or non-invasive measuring instrument by optical observation, with excellent measurement accuracy and reproducibility, for the purpose of measuring glucose in blood. SOLUTION: This spectroscopic blood sugar level measuring instrument is a near-infrared quantitative analyzer for measuring the concentration of glucose in blood and characterized by having the following means (1) to (3): (1) a near-infrared irradiation means for continuously and minutely dividing the wavelength of near-infrared light ranging from 0.8 to 2.5μm in wavelength and irradiating an object of measurement therewith, (2) a photoelectric transducing means for receiving light emitted by the irradiation means and transmitted by the object of measurement and photoelectrically transducing the light, and (3) a glucose concentration computing means for determining the concentration of glucose in the blood in the object of measurement by a computation for analyzing an absorbance spectrum acquired based on a detection signal photoelectrically transduced by the transducing means.</p> |
