PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a PPPoE (Point-to-Point Protocol over Ethernet (R)) bridge apparatus and a PPPoE session interruption method for reducing a time required for interrupting PPPoE sessions for PPPoE client apparatuses connected to a lower layer and carrying out the interruption at any time. SOLUTION: The PPPoE client apparatus 7A generates a first termination request packet including: a MAC address of a LAC apparatus 3 as a destination MAC address; the MAC address of the PPPoE client apparatus 7A as a sender MAC address; and an acquired session ID as its own session ID, and transmits the packet to the LAC apparatus 3, and the LAC apparatus 3 generates a second termination request packet including: the MAC address of the PPPoE client apparatus 7A as a destination MAC address; the MAC address of the LAC apparatus 3 as a sender MAC address; and the acquired session ID as its own session ID and transmits it to the PPPoE client apparatus 7A.
