PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique by which a good image can be obtained without requiring a line memory or a complicated hardware constitution even in an image forming device in which a positional slip occurs in an image forming unit. SOLUTION: This image forming device is equipped with an image memory which holds image information, a storing means which stores compensation information regarding the positional slip compensation of an image, a converting means which converts the reading address of the image memory based on the compensation information, and a first reading means which reads pixel information of an image drawing line based on address information which has been converted, a second reading means which reads the pixel information of corresponding picture pixels of an adjacent line to a line to be drawn, a gradation compensating means which performs the gradation compensation of the pixel information which has been read in the first reading means based on the compensation information and the pixel information which has been read in the second reading means, and an outputting means which outputs a driving signal to the image forming unit based on the pixel information which has been gradation-compensated in the gradation compensating means.
