PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely perform the adjustment for expanding or shrinking the width of the tail side end in response to the fanning-out of paper. SOLUTION: First slopes 41a are formed in an engaging member 41 housed in a recess 13d of a spring bearing bar 13 fixed to a plate cylinder in a state that belleville springs 42 are elastically installed between the engaging member 41 and the bottom face of the recess 13d. In this case, the first slopes 41a are energized toward the direction opposedly contacting with the slopes 12b of a gripping plate 12 by means of the resilient force of the belleville springs 42. By moving a tail side plate vise 10A to the direction indicated by an arrow head A-B by operating a register controlling device in this state, the first slope 41a of the engaging member 41 moves toward the flat surface 12c of the gripping plate 12. Accordingly, the belleville springs 42 are compressed by the action of tapers of the mutual slopes of the second slope 12b and of the first slope 41a, resulting in increasing a pressing force toward the arrow C of the gripping plate 12.
