The ashtray comprises a main body (2) with a recess (21) in the middle, and a one-piece insert (3) which fits into the recess. A number of spaced apart needles (211) are provided in the recess and their height is less than the depth of the recess. Corresponding to the needles the insert is provided with a number of spaced apart holes (31) through which the needles reach. The insert lies on the bottom of the recess and for emptying of the ashtray is detachable from the recess.
