<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology capable of easily measuring the throughput in a wireless LAN system so as to reduce the measurement time and the cost. <P>SOLUTION: A wireless LAN throughput measurement apparatus includes: a packet generating means; a transmission reception means for transmitting a packet generated by the packet generating means to a wireless LAN base station apparatus; a transmission rate setting means that releases an automatic transmission rate control function to establish a fixed transmission rate when using the transmission reception means to transmit a packet; a number of transmission packet count means for counting the number of transmitted packets together with retransmitted packets; a number of Ack count means for counting the number of Ack signals received by the transmission reception means and from the wireless LAN base station apparatus; a frame error rate acquisition means that calculates a frame error rate on the basis of the number of transmission packets and the number of the Ack signals; and a throughput acquisition means for estimating the throughput on the basis of the frame error rate, the size of the generated packets, and the transmission rate set by the transmission rate setting means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
