PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an audio apparatus for improving operability in switching a sound output from a headphone or earpiece, which is connected to a sound output terminal, and a sound output from a speaker. SOLUTION: The audio apparatus is provide with a speaker 16, a jack 18 capable of connecting a connection terminal of a headphone 4, and a voice output control unit 15 for controlling output of a voice signal Sv with respect to the speaker 16 and the jack 18. The voice output control unit 15 generates the voice signal Sv to the speaker 16 when a prescribed operation by using a remote controller 3 is carried out under a condition that the connection terminal is connected with the jack 18.
