PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL display made into the specification which is equal to practical use, and to provide its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: An anode AD is deposited on the principal surface of a substrate SUB1. An organic film formed at the top layer comprises an electron hole transportation functional layer HL, a luminescence layer LM, and an electron transportation functional layer EL which are laminated in order on the anode AD, while having the structure where a cathode CD is deposited on the uppermost layer. The value of electric capacity of the organic film in 50,000 hours which is measured on arbitrary frequency using LCR meter by changing direct-current bias is made into about 110% or less of the value of electric capacity of an initial state.
