PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conical roller bearing capable of reducing torque without reducing bearing rigidity while improving assemblability by supporting conical rollers in a stable attitude in a cage when installing the conical rollers even if the filling ratio of the conical rollers is increased. SOLUTION: This conical roller bearing has an inner race 13, an outer race 12, a plurality of conical rollers 14 rollingly arranged between the inner race 13 and the outer race 12, and the cage 16 for holding the conical rollers 14 at a predetermined circumferential interval. The cage 15 has a large diameter ring part 15b, a small diameter ring part 15c, and a plurality of column parts 15a for connecting the large diameter ring part 15b and the small diameter ring part 15c. A tapered surface 18 slidingly contacting with an outer diameter surface of the conical rollers 14 is arranged on both sides of an inner diameter surface of the column parts 15a. A length dimension L in the width direction of the tapered surface 18 is set to 5% or more and less than 11% of an average diameter D of the conical rollers 14. A rib is extended in the radial direction from the edge of the small diameter ring part 15c, and its rib tip part 15d is bent inside in the axial direction. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
