PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sintering vessel which suppresses the deformation of a compact caused by carbon released by dewax treatment, and can improve a yield, and to provide a method for producing a rare earth magnet. SOLUTION: In the sintering vessel 10, holes 14, 15 are formed in a lower cover 12 and an upper cover 13 of covering the vessel body 11, and gas released from a compact 100 upon dewax treatment is released to the outside of the sintering vessel 10 through the holes 14 and 15. Further, upon the sintering of the compact 100, impurity components included in an atmospheric gas within a sintering furnace intruded from the outside of the sintering vessel 10 through the holes 14, 15 are adsorbed by impurity removal materials 20 set between the lower cover 12 and the upper cover 13. At this time, the holes 14 of the lower cover 12 and the holes 15 of the upper cover 13 are offset arranged each other, and, when the gas infiltrated from the holes 15 of the upper cover 13 flows toward the holes 14 of the lower cover 12, the gas is securely brought into contact with the impurity removal materials 20.
