<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a method and a device which easily read a text of a hypertext pages on a display screen. SOLUTION: The device is provided with a program, which 'understands' fundamental rules related to punctuation marks, connection parts used as conjunctions, and the reading direction, and a display device 300 is divided into a guide part window 320 and a read part window 330. A selected hypertext page is decoded and is put in the guide part window in a prescribed manner after this processing, and the text segmented to a certain length by the rules is put temporarily in the read part window from an area indicated by a cursor 310. The device has a prescribed key function, which moves the cursor in the text forward or backward by one step at a time or by skipping many clauses of the text, when desired.</p> |
