METHOD, DEVICE, AND PROGRAM FOR IMAGE DISPLAY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently display a large amount of images in a display format based on display protocols. SOLUTION: Display control sequences PS1, PS2 and PS3 where a large amount of display protocols are arranged in a prescribed order are stored in a storage part 28 of a work station 2. The work station 2 is connected to a image server which preserves a large amount of image data; and when the work station 2 selects a desired display protocol and indicates transfer of image data, an image is laid out and displayed on a monitor 22 while switching the display format, on the basis of the selected display protocol.
