A turn limit device with which a wheelchair occupant can easily switch over between a state where the turn of the wheelchair is limited and a state where the turn is possible. A wheelchair (1) having a turn limit device (40) attached to a frame (10), where the turn limit device (40) is capable of switching between a turnable state where auxiliary universal wheels (30) are made to land on the ground and a turn-limited state where the auxiliary universal wheels (30) are not made to land on the ground. The turn limit device (40) has a bracket, auxiliary wheels (43) vertically movably supported at the bracket, a switchover drive section capable of switching the auxiliary wheels (43) between an upper position and a lower position, and an operation section. The direction of the axis of shaft of each auxiliary wheel (43) is fixed relative to the bracket. At the upper position, the switchover drive section holds the auxiliary wheels (43) at a height at which they are not on the ground, and holds the auxiliary universal wheels (30) in the turnable state where the wheels are on the ground. Further, at the lower position, the switchover drive section holds the auxiliary wheels (43) at the position where they are on the ground and holds the auxiliary universal wheels (30) in the turn-limited state where the auxiliary universal wheels are not on the ground. |
