FIELD: processes and equipment for making frictional articles designed for operating in different mechanisms, particularly in braking units and couplings. ^ SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of shaping article from material with polymeric binder and fillers; at side of working surface of article performing heat treatment at temperature exceeding maximum temperature of article operation by 20 -40 % for 10 - 90 seconds.
