METHOD FOR ACCESSING HYBRID NETWORK, AND GATEWAY APPARATUS, RADIO TERMINAL, AND COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the power consumption of a radio terminal that is an access gateway, by providing a method for accessing a hybrid network including a wide area network and a distributed network, gateway apparatus, radio terminal, and gateway communication system.

SOLUTION: The method includes the steps of: sensing by a gateway apparatus a relay request time slot on a downlink common control channel of a wide area network; transmitting by a radio terminal relay request information requesting to relay a data packet desired to be transmitted in the relay request time slot on the downlink common control channel; and allowing the gateway apparatus to establish a connection with the radio terminal in a distributed network environment, if the relay request information from the radio terminal is sensed in the relay request slot.
