<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a percussion detecting apparatus and an electronic percussion instrument which are capable of not only providing excellent percussion feeling, but also visually indicating a percussion pattern of a beat applied to a percussion surface, so as to serve for percussion practice as well as to increase interest in the percussion practice. <P>SOLUTION: A head 12 is formed of an air-permeable netlike material 56. A head sensor support member 72 in a drum part 50 is provided with an annular light radiating part 40 and eight movable parts 42 with light guide bodies thereof are arranged at equal intervals above respective photoreflectors 46. When a percussion is applied, a tube body 41 is pressed from the head 12, a skirt part 47 flexes, and a proper reaction force is generated through shrinkage of a column body 45 and flection of the tube body 41 to obtain damping effect. Further, the distance between a concave surface 45a of the column body 45 and each photoreflector 46 varies as the column body 45 moves in a percussion direction, and the light emission intensity of the column body 45 varies, which is viewed as a percussion pattern in meshes of the head 12 through the tube body 41. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
