PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insulation coated conductor, and its manufacturing method, with insulation properties maintained and improvement of a space factor aimed at, as to one made by coating insulating resin on a conductive member having corner parts C1 and non-corner parts C2 in cross-section view. SOLUTION: In the manufacturing method of the insulation coated conductor 10 equipped with a conductive member 11 having corner parts C1 and non-corner parts C2 in a cross-section view, and insulating resin 12 for coating the conductive member 11, a plastic deformation process is applied on the insulating resin 12 covering the conductive member 11 so that a part of the insulating resin 12 covering the non-corner parts C2 moves toward the corner parts C1, after the conductive member 11 is coated with the insulating resin 12.
