PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an unlocking system for vending machines which is simple in composition, high in security, easy to operate, and high in convenience. SOLUTION: One or more remote control identification numbers and one or more code numbers correlated with the remote controller identification numbers are registered to a vending machine. When a code number is inputted with a remote controller to command a transmission operation, an unlocking signal including an identification number unique to the remote controller and the inputted code number are transmitted to the vending machine, and the identification number included in the unlocking signal that the control part of the vending machine receives is compared with a stored identification number. If these identification numbers agree with each other, a code number which is registered in association with the identification number concerned is compared with the code number included in the received unlocking signal.
