PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an improvement in the yield per batch, the elimination of foaming in a removal process of an organic solvent, and an improvement in the removal efficiency of the organic solvent in a method for manufacturing an electrostatic charge image developing toner which forms particulates containing a polyester resin and the organic solvent in an aqueous medium and causes coalescence of the particulates. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the electrostatic charge image developing toner performs a process A of manufacturing a colored resin solution of 60 to 75% in a solid content by dissolving or dispersing a polyester resin, and a colorant into the organic solvent, a process B of manufacturing an emulsified suspension by mixing the colored resin solution and the aqueous medium in the presence of a basic compound (I), and further adding a basic compound (II), a process C of adding a dispersion stabilizer and an electrolyte to the solution to form the particulates of the colored resin solution, and making the the particulates united, a process D of adding the aqueous medium in such a manner that the solid content attains 20 to 30%, and in succession, removing the organic solvent, a process E of separating and cleaning the coalesced particles, and a process F of drying the particles.
