<p>An AM receiving apparatus capable of quickly following the phase variation and the signal intensity variation. An AM receiving apparatus, which reproduces a detection signal from an AM modulated signal (Sin), comprises a quadrature signal generating means (8) that generates in-phase components (I) and quadrature components (Q) from the AM modulated signal (Sin); a first carrier reproducing means (11a) that reproduces an in-phase carrier signal (SC<SUB>I</SUB>) from the in-phase components (I); a second carrier reproducing means (11b) that reproduces a quadrature carrier signal (SC<SUB>Q</SUB>) from the quadrature components (Q); and a detecting/calculating means (9) that uses the in-phase carrier signal (SC<SUB>I</SUB>) and quadrature carrier signal (SC<SUB>Q</SUB>) to detect the in-phase components (I) and quadrature components (Q), respectively, thereby generating a detection signal (SD) from the in-phase components (I) and quadrature components (Q).</p> |
