Outdoor unit of an air conditioner having such a structure that the interior of a substantially rectangular parallelepiped box type casing is partitioned by a partition panel extending vertically into a fan room and a machine room, wherein an electric component assembly arranged in the machine room is made compact and can be transported efficiently. The electric component assembly (7) comprises a body (71), a terminal block (86), and a terminal block support member (87). A control board (91) mounting an operation control element is attached to the body (71) with the substrate surface of the control board (91) inclined to the front surface of a unit casing (2). The terminal block (86) is arranged to face the front surface of a unit casing (2). The terminal block support member (87) is provided in the body (71) and can be switched between a first state for supporting the terminal block (86) kept provided in the unit casing (2), and a second state providing a gentle inclination to the substrate surface as compared with the first state.
