<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a copy machine also used as a light table, which does not require to move an original and can prevent errors or deviation apt to be caused upon moving the original, by allowing work on the document glass for subsequent copying operation. <P>SOLUTION: By irradiating a special light to the document glass of the copy machine from the inside of the copy machine, a grid scale 3, for example, comes up to the surface of the glass, thus work on the document glass is made possible and an original can be copied as it is. Also a slit for insertion 4 is provided for inserting the scale plate immediately below the document glass.
