<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide on-vehicle equipment for providing an effective guidance to urge a user to use automatic charge settlement to an extent proper for the user. <P>SOLUTION: Predetermined guidance relating to charge results is executed by a navigation device 2 on the basis of the totaled amount of charge for using ETC, an upper limit amount set by a user, a charge amount totaling period, a total information notification date and a route guidance method when the upper limit amount is reached. When the totaled amount is the upper limit amount or more, the user is notified of the result. After the lapse of the total information notification date, the user is notified of the totaled amount of the use charge. Also, the use charge is totaled in every charge amount totaling period by setting the charge amount totaling period. On the other hand, route guidance based on the setting on the basis of the availability of a toll road when the charge amount reaches the upper limit amount. When the use of the toll road is not allowed, the route is set so that the user does not use the toll road.
