PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively suppress smears without causing influence on image quality of a picked-up image of a solid-state imaging device. SOLUTION: An averaging section 250 removes a random noise of image data. After that, a smear extractor 300 detects pixels having a level not less than a threshold to extract smears. A smear position detector 400 detects the positions of the smears in horizontal lines, and provides a smear position designating signal F1 to a filtering processor 600. The filtering processor 600 uses pixel data of pixels adjacent to a horizontal direction and having the same color as that of a correction target pixel to execute interpolation operation processing based on a predetermined operation formula.
