PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a sewing machine by which the sewing of an emblem can easily be performed. SOLUTION: In this sewing machine M, the outer line G in response to the outer shape of the emblem W being arranged on a fabric N which is held by a holding frame 11 is drawn on the displaying region 20a of an operation panel 20 on which a virtual ruled line La is displayed corresponding to the ruled line K while making it match the ruled line L of a template P being fitted on the holding frame 11. Thus, the input of the outer line G regarding the emblem W can be performed. The sewing machine M prepares sewing data comprising temporary sewing data in response to the outer shape of the emblem W and emblem sewing data, based on the outer line G. Then, the sewing machine M is constituted in such a manner that the emblem W is sewn to the fabric N by operating each section of the sewing machine M by the prepared sewing data.
