<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for converting power fed from a power source. <P>SOLUTION: In one example of embodiment, the method includes a step for controlling a plurality of transformer and switch units (12), connected to the power source and a step for controlling a plurality of converter units (22, 24, 26, and 28) connected in parallel. Each converter unit forms each of individual threads (14, 16, 18, and 20), while being connected to each one of the transformer and switching units.
