<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for measuring microorganisms in which collection of a microorganism measuring sample, measurement of the number of the microorganisms and even disposal of a material having the possibility of being contaminated with the sample and microorganisms can sanitarily and rapidly be carried out on the spot and to provide a method for measuring the microorganisms using the apparatus for measuring the microorganisms. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus is equipped with a head part having a microorganism collection surface and a demountable measurement cell in which the head part holds a liquid.
