<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system and a fuel cell density detection method, capable of correctly detecting density of aqueous solution of fuel. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell system 100 is constituted of a fuel cell 104 generating electrical energy through electrochemical reaction, an aqueous solution supplying passage guiding aqueous methanol solution to the fuel cell 104; a branch passage branching from the aqueous solution supplying passage arranged so that the aqueous methanol solution can be taken out from the aqueous solution supplying passage; an ultrasonic wave sensor 164 for detecting density of the aqueous methanol solution, flowing through the branch passage; a first temperature sensor 168 and a second temperature sensor 170, arranged at an oscillation part 164a and a receiving part 164b of the ultrasonic wave sensor 164 respectively, and a CPU172 controlling aqueous methanol solution-density detecting operation, on the basis of the temperature detected by the first temperature sensor 168 and the second temperature sensor 170, respectively. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
