<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk wherein a desired thickness can be easily secured in a peripheral part of a clamp area when a protective layer and an intermediate layer of the optical disk are formed by a spin coat method; and to provide its manufacturing method. <P>SOLUTION: The optical disk has an annular protrusion part 5 in the vicinity of an outer peripheral position of the clamp area 12. A UV resin is dammed by the annular protrusion part 5 when a cover layer is formed by the spin coat method.
