PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid jet device which can fully pour liquid which has fallen into a calking portion into an absorbent material. SOLUTION: In the liquid jet device 10 which is equipped with this liquid suction device 20 of a liquid jet head 30, the liquid suction device 20 comprises a body in which a protrusion member projected from the bottom in the body as a body which is brought into close contact with a nozzle face and in which encapsulation is possible about a nozzle opening, the absorbent material for absorbing liquid from the nozzle opening, and a pressor member for fixing the end of the protrusion member by the calking portion obtained by a calking member by inserting the absorbent material by the bottom in the body in a state that a protrusion member is passed to the absorbent material 90. A calking portion 160 has a plane sloping surface 160B for pouring liquid which has fallen into the absorbent material 90 which has fallen into the calking member, and a plane sloping surface has fallen 160B has an absorbent material contact portion 160Bb which touches the absorbent material 90 in the mode of a line contact or a surface contact.
