PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switch device capable of changing freely display size of an image which is displayed on an operating member without using an expensive component. SOLUTION: A switch operating part 5 which is used as an operating portion of a switch is formed of an optical semi-transmission membrane and an image is incorporated inside the switch operating part 5. An LED 6 is arranged on the rear face 5a side of the switch operating part 5, and a light filter 9 is installed between the switch operating part 5 and the LED 6. The light filter 9 is capable of relative movement in vertical direction (arrowhead A direction) to the bottom face 10 of a support wall 7. When the light filter 9 is pushed downward and light is irradiated in wide range on the rear face 5a of the switch operating part 5, an image of large size is displayed on the surface 5b of the switch operating part 5. On the other hand, when the light filter is pushed upward and light is irradiated in narrow range on the rear face 5a of the switch operating part 5, an image of small size is displayed on the surface 5b of the switch operating part 5.
