PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that noise, image fluctuation and void occur due to backlash caused by change of inclination of a cam groove of a rotation member when energizing force of an optical axis direction is applied by a coil spring or the like on a rectilinear member in the conventional lens barrel. SOLUTION: A lens barrel comprises a one-group ring 10 movable in the optical axis direction of a lens by holding the lens and for provided with a cam pin 98, a cam ring 15 relatively rotatable to the one-group ring 10, even relatively movable in the optical axis direction, and having a cam groove 65 slidably engaged with the cam pin 98 on the peripheral face, a gear part 60 provided integrally with the cam ring 15 in order to rotate the cam ring 15, a drive gear 22 comprising flat teeth engaged with the gear part, and a power source 132 having a gear sequence 134 engaged with the drive gear 22. The lens barrel rotating the cam ring 15 by transmitting power of the power source 132 from the drive gear 22 to the gear part 60 is provided with a ring plate spring 130 energizing the drive gear 22 to one of directions where the flat teeth extends.
