The SIM card aperture has a hinged cover, retaining pin and sealing ring to protect the card. The combined watch-telephone comprises a base (2) in which there is a seating (3) provided to receive a telephone SIM card (4). A cover (5) is attached by a hinge (6) to ensure the closure of the base. A sealing ring (8) surrounds the internal edge of the cover (5), and presses against the cover when it is closed. The cover hinge is arranged to lie entirely within the base (2) so that when the cover is closed there is no projecting hinge part. The cover is retained by a rotating bolt (10) which turns freely within a hole (11). This bolt has an eccentric head (12) able to retain the cover in the closed position, and a slot (13) allowing it to be turned by the edge of a coin.
