<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact master cylinder capable of sufficiently decreasing the space for mounting a vehicular brake device even if a stroke simulator is incorporated therein. <P>SOLUTION: The master cylinder 10 comprises a cylinder body 11, a master piston 12 installed in the body 11 slidably and coupled with a brake pedal 1, a master chamber 115 partitioned inside the body 11 as positioned ahead of the master piston 12 and filled with brake oil, a simulator piston 30 installed in the master chamber 115 in such a condition as energized by a spring 36 and arranged slidably within the master chamber 115 against the enregizing force of the spring 36 in compliance with sliding of the master piston 12, and a simulator chamber 35 partitioned by the simulator piston 30 etc. in such a configuration as able to put the pressure of the brake oil therein approximately identical to the atmospheric pressure. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
