PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reproducing device capable of efficiently using the recording area of a recording medium, in the reproducing device for reproducing video and audio on the basis of a reproduction data recorded in the recording medium such as a hard disk and a DVD. SOLUTION: The reproducing device 1 reproduces the video and the audio on the basis of the reproduction data recorded in the recording medium 10, and erases the reproduced data after reproduction to save it in a volatile recording means 13. The reproduced data saved in the volatile recording means 13 can be returned to the recording medium 10 when a predetermine operation is carried out, and is erased from the volatile recording means 13 when a predetermined erasure condition is satisfied.
