PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automate the setup of device drivers as an assembly of logically small-scale networks in a large-scale network environment in which many clients and devices exist on a network. SOLUTION: A management server 500 manages a plurality of clients as client groups (A) and (B) and also manages a plurality of network devices as device groups (A) and (B). The management server 500 correlates the client group (A) with the device group (A) and also correlates the client group (B) with the device group (B). When a network device 200 belonging to the group (A) is newly installed, the network device 200 transmits a Hello message indicating its participation to a network. Then, the management server 500 receives the Hello message and transmits a message requesting the setup of a device driver for the network device 200 only to each client belonging to the group (A).
