PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce degreasing and firing times, further, to simplify a heat treating process including degreasing and firing stages, and to reduce the coefficient of linear contraction upon firing in a metal formed body by increasing its metal density. SOLUTION: The metal formed body uses metal particles as the main material, and comprises an organic binder(s) as the balance. The organic binder(s) is one or more kinds of binders selected from the group consisting of an urethane resin, a phenol resin, an epoxy resin, a styrene resin, an acrylic resin, polyvinyl alcohol, dextrin and casein, and the organic binder(s) is comprised by 0.3 to 3 wt.% to 99.7 to 97 wt.% of the metal particles.
