PRIMER COMPOSITION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a primer composition for forming a primer layer capable of improving the close adhesion of a substrate with a layer formed on the substrate. SOLUTION: This primer composition for forming the primer layer on the surface of the substrate contains (A) an acid-modified hydrogenated styrene-butadiene-styrene block copolymer having a form of adding anα,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid or its anhydride to the hydrogenated material of the styrene-butadiene-styrene block copolymer and (B) a polyester polyol having 50-200 mgKOH/g hydroxy value. The polyester polyol (B) is preferably a condensate of (B1) a polyprotic carboxylic acid component containing mainly an aliphatic polyprotic carboxylic acid and (B2) a polyhydric alcohol component containing mainly an aliphatic polyhydric alcohol.
