The traction vehicle (1) has brake mechanisms (5a,5b,6,17) which can be connected to the engine cooler (10) of the diesel engine (2) via a brake cooling circuit (18,19). The brake mechanisms consist of a commutator (5a), an inverter (5b), an electric motor (6) and a brake resistance (17). The brake resistance is connected to the engine cooler via the brake cooling circuit. |
