<p>A work stilt as an aid for carrying out a work operation at a level above normal working height for a workperson, wherein the work stilt has an elongate device with an affixed upper attachment means and an affixed lower attachment means designed for securing to respectively the workperson' s lower leg or calf and foot, the distance between the attachment means being mutually adjustable, and a spring-loaded, tiltable foot that is tiltable relative to the elongate device. The foot consists of an upper member fastened to a bottom region of the elongate member, a lower member designed for contact with an underlying surface, and either one spring means that is fastened to the upper and the lower member, or at least two spring means, each of which is fastened at the top to the upper member and at the bottom to the lower member. At least one of said upper member and said lower member has a portion which effects a rocking function, said portion being designed for rocking contact with the other of the members.</p> |
