A sign, in particular a temporary road sign, is provided which has holes (4) within the surface of the road sign to reduce the aerodynamic loads on the sign. The intention is that these holes should be manufactured in such a way (5) as to deflect the approaching air flow (6) upwards as it passes through the sign (7). This technique will produce a downward load on the sign whilst maintaining the visible surface area. The sign may be formed as a single surface or a pair of spaced apart surfaces. |
