PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic gelling agent capable of gelling, only by being heated together with an organic solvent and then allowed to stand at room temperature, without requiring addition of a second component (coagulant), such as a metal salt, and having high gelling ability, to provide an organic gel comprising the organic gelling agent, and to provide an organic fiber. SOLUTION: A triphenylmethane derivative is expressed by a specified chemical structural formula. The gelling agent contains the triphenylmethane derivative.
