Dowel, especially for building materials

The dowel (10), especially for solid construction materials, has a shank consisting of four segments in opposite pairs which define a screw channel (40) bounded by surfaces which are flat. The screw channel has a H-form cross section. Two oppositely disposed segments (20) are constructed as surface pressure segments which have a flat or at least approximately flat outer surface, and the other two oppositely-disposed segments (16,18) may be toothed segments with teeth on their outer surface, or may be rotational locking segments.
