PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and surely position and connect a sheet metal member 10 including positioning projections 24, 25 formed by half blanking or burring on a side wall 6. SOLUTION: The connecting structure of the sheet metal member 10 and the side wall 6 is provided with the sheet metal member 10 having positioning projections 24, 25 formed by half blanking, a female screw hole 26 and a tentative positioning projection 20 formed thereon, a side wall 6 including positioning holes 30, 32, a mounting hole 34 and a tentative positioning support hole 28, and a male screw member 50. The tentative positioning projection 20 is fitted in the tentative positioning support hole 28 and is tentatively supported at a tentative position. The positioning projections 24, 25 are fitted in the positioning holes 30, 32 and the sheet metal member 10 is fastened at a predetermined position on the side wall 6 by inserting and fastening the male screw member 50 into the female screw hole 26 from the mounting hole 34.
