A pivot assembly for use in a hard disk drive having a shaft and a pair of ball bearings mounted on the shaft. The ball bearings are spaced apart by a sleeve extended between outer rings of these ball bearings. The sleeve includes a spacer part, which may be formed integrally with the sleeve.
