An apparatus for driving a CCFL(Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamp) in parallel is provided to drive a plurality of lamps in parallel while using a small number of transformers having small capacity. In an apparatus for driving a CCFL in parallel, an AC voltage is inputted to a first side of a main transformer. The CCFL is connected to a second side of the main transformer in parallel. The second side of the main transformer includes a middle tap. The middle tap is connected to an earth. A lamp combination consists of a plurality of CCFLs. Two of CCFLs consist of one group. Each first pole(p1) of Ln-1 and Ln-2 which are in an N-group of lamp combination is connected to both ends of the second side of the main transformer.
