<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot water storage system capable of keeping the hot water in a hot water storage tank in high quality even when the hot water is not used for a long period. <P>SOLUTION: This hot water storage system comprises a cooling water circulating channel 22 for circulating the cooling water of an engine 4 of a cogenerator 2, a hot water storage tank 8 for storing the hot water, a hot water circulating channel 24 for circulating the hot water in the hot water storage tank 8, a heat exchanger 34 for exchanging the heat between the hot water flowing in the cooling water circulating channel 22 and the hot water flowing in a hot water circulating channel 24, and a hot water channel 42 for supplying the hot water in the hot water storage tank 8.
